Wow, my time here in Hawaii has gone by so fast! It feels like just yesterday that I got here and was trying to remember names.
Anyhow, I am sorry I didnt get a chance to up date this as much as I would have liked to, I am just always really busy and when I'm not Its nice to Relax??

Anyways, I will be leaving for Mongolia on Monday, March 30th at Noon and I wont be there for almost an entire day! I cant wait to get there. I found out that my group will be working Alcoholics, prostitutes, Sunday Schools and Orphanages!
I cant wait!

So I just wanted to let everyone Know some of the Stuff I have learned while being here.

First of all:

God is closer than you think. He is not just some far of distant person. He is always with you always listing to you and always talking to you. We are just always so busy with talking on the phone or TV or what ever that we dont take time to Listen to him.

Christianity is not about what you can do for God, its what God did for us. People often are trying to get to Heaven. Its like they need to earn their way there. They have already been bought by the Blood of Chirst.

God has Given me the Gift of healing. I have prayed for people and they have been healed from whatever it is that was bothering them. This dosent work all the time because sometimes God dosent want to heal that person right away. An example is if you have a illness that makes you tired and weak all the time, chances are God gave that to you to show you that you need to trust in him for your strength.

God is Awesome

IM SO SORRY I HAVE NOT POSTED ANYTHING IN FOREVER!!!
Ive been having such an amazing time Here in Honolulu. I Don't have any friends here, I have Family! Its so crazy How close everyone is.

So I quick Recap of everything that has been going on.

I have had a Speaker:

Spiritual Warfare and how we have authority in Christ. We have the power to Heal people. I saw it happen. Its so Crazy and cool. GOD IS AWESOME!

I had a speaker on The Holy Spirit and that was Awesome. The Holy Spirit is most Def. alive and working as strong as ever.
Last Week I was on the Big Island in Kona. There we had a Speaker talk about Heaven Invading Earth and that was just amazing. He said alot of things that just make you think and its so Awesome.

This Week our speaker is talking about Worship and today he covered really simple things that I think we often take for Granted.
Such as God is forever. Yea forever is along time, but can you count that? Nope.

I love being here.
Thank you so much to anyone who has supported me with Prayers, Money or even just a kind word of encouragment! I love you all so much.

I am so Excited to be going there. My team is the First team from YWAM Honolulu to visit Mongolia for outreach.

I love Hawaii

So I haven’t updated in a few days. I have just been so busy. Lectures started on Monday. They all have been really good so far. Some topics are somewhat over my head, but for the most part I am understanding everything.

Tuesday night was really awesome, we went out and did street evangelism. The is going out and telling [ or in our case attempting] to tell people about Jesus and to pray for them. We talked to two people who are both Christians. They actually did more talking than our Group. Oh well, we tried
and that is what counts.

Monday I will find out what my outreach location is. I am really excited about this. I Don’t know where I want to go yet. I am thinking we will have 3 or 4 choices. If you guys can pray that God shows me where I am needed to go, that would be AWESOME!

I am finally over all that Jet Lag garbage, thank God. It was so annoying to wake up at like 4 and just sit there until people wake up.

[January 16th]

Today it has been raining a LOT!
I woke up to it pouring. Halfway during lecture it starts down pouring again. Right now its raining on and off. Today and yesterdays topic has been “Hearing the Voice of God”
It is really interesting stuff to learn about. Its crazy because I remembered things from my past that I know was the Voice of God. Its crazy but true.
So I am done for the rest of the day, I just have dinner clean up tonight. I think we are going to the City tonight and hanging out down there. I am really excited. Its always fun down there.

Hope everyone is doing well, I know I am. Its kinda hard to update a lot because I am always busy doing something. I have probably only used my computer 5 times while being here.

[January 17th]

Today Wade, Curtis, Bryan, Frank and I all went up to North Shore. I saw the biggest Waves I have ever seen in my entire life. They were not good waves for surfing because the Storm we had yesterday and the wind. It was just Chop. But it was AWESOME!!!

We got some Mexican food at this place called Cholos. It was really good stuff. I got a hat at a Surf shop and then some Shave Ice.

Also!
Last night was a lot of fun. Most of us took the bus to Waikiki and hung out down there. Frank and I ended up going Swimming in our pants/shorts. Tons of fun. It was a good night. Ill be posting some pictures at the bottom for you all to check out. I hope all is well.

First Few Days Here

Tuesday, January 6th

So Far today I met an old lady leaving Muskegon. I don’t know her name but she was really nice. She was heading to Ft. Myers and she asked me where I was going and I told her what I am going to be doing and she thought that was really neat and said she would pray for me.

In the Detroit Airport I helped an old couple fix their Cell phone and they were very happy that I helped.

The last 20 minutes or so of my Flight into San Fran. pretty cool. I saw the Sierra Mountains. It was pretty cool. It looks like it might be clearing up a little bit. When I got here it was really Cloudy and foggy and it had rained a little bit.

My Flight to Hawaii has been pushed back twice now. I don’t leave until 5pm!!! Airport, why are you doing this to me?!?! I was scheduled to fly out of San Fran at like 330.

I didn’t land in Hawaii until like 900 local time, that’s like, 1 am Michigan time. I got picked up by a dude named Curtis and a guy named Duke. They are pretty cool. Then I met a girl named Lauren and she is staffing the DTS here, shes really nice. In the van was a girl named Miriam from Germany and Lisa from Switzerland. We picked up one girl after me and then headed back to base. Im sleeping in the creek house. Its really nice, all open air. And the creek is right below u. its really nice and sounds relaxing.

Wednesday, January 7

I had a hard time sleeping last night because I had a lot running through my head. Eventually I feel asleep. Its amazing how cold it can get here. Oh well, ill live with. There are only 4 dudes for DTS and the rest are girls. We might get another guy, so that will be cool. There are 7 guys living in my room. Duke, Curtis, Justin and CJ. They are the DTS Staff, all cool guys as far as I can tell. Tyler and Brian are the two DTS guys with me. Really nice guys. The girls are really nice as well. We had some more people come in today. They are all pretty cool so far. We all went to Ala Moana beach. Its right next to Waikiki Beach, but it’s the local beach. It was awesome. A lady that was driving gave us all a ride down there. Her name was Chrissie I believe. She gave us a little tour of the town and how to get where we were going. While at the beach we paddle boarded , which is sitting, kneeling or standing on a Surfboard and using a canoe paddle to move around in the water. It was really awesome. Jenny and I both were out there for like 20 minutes or so. Shes really nice. I feel like I really got to know her somewhat well. I know its not like knowing someone for a long time, but for the time we spent we had a good “ Get to know you” talk. After that we explored the mall and food court and the Makai Marketplace. The mall was so awesome. Its all open air. The food court was HUGE there were about 20 restaurants there of all different types of food. After the mall we all started the 3 mile walk back. Bryan and Tyler got picked up by some lady to go check out a bike. So it’s 5 or 6 girls and myself walking back. Along the way we saw a lizard or gecko on the top of a car. That was a lot of fun, ill post more on that later [ probably not]. We stopped at this place called Bubbies [bub-bees] and tried a Japanese ice cream. Its covered in rice shell. A + treat in my book. I Hung out in the girls house with everyone after dinner and then tossed a football around with the guys. Then a few people came that Bryan had called and a lot of us bought bikes. They guys that sold them too us were both really nice guys and interested in what we were doing here.
Then Ara, Tyler, Kim [Staff] Brian and I all went to Safeway and got some stuff. Tomorrow is Aloha day.

Also, there was a little problem with this Blog a few days ago. If you saw it, I fixed it and if not dont worry about it =]. Just wanted to let you all know that I had no idea it was on here and I am sorry for that unexpected error. I just wanted to let you all know.
Also, I am keeping a daily journal and wanted to let you know Ill post each day a couple days after, or as soon as I can.

Last Weekend at Home

My Last weekend here has been a lot of fun. I got a lot of Pictures. Hung out with lots of people. Ate alot of good food.
Here the run down Day by Day.

Friday

Went to the Bank
Went to the UPS store to mail all my extra junk[ Cost $142 = o]
Drove to Grand Rapids to pick Arika up
Came home and showed her around my House
Played with my dogs
Gave Arika a tour of Muskegon
Had an awesome dinner with the family and Arika at the Station [Local Favorite]
Went to the movies and say "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"[ A+ Movie]
Went played with the dogs some more
Watched Stand Up on Comedy Central with Arika
Sleep

Saturday

Woke Up
Woke Arika Up
Showered and then played Guitar Hero while she Showered
Went to Red Lobster and had amazing King Crab
Had a Nice drive back to Grand Rapids taking back roads.
Rushed home and showered
Friends Came over

We played Ping Pong, Pool, Guitar Hero and, Tetris. Listened to some good music, had some laughs, I got a video of my friend Elliott going crazy while playing Guitar Hero.

Went to Bdubs and saw more people I knew, that was really nice.
Sam Elliott and I all went to ....

Over all, I would have to say that this weekend was by far, one of the best I have had in awhile. It meant a lot to have all my friends over and spend time with them, even if It was just for a few minutes. I think everyone had fun, I hope. I know I did.

Today[Sunday] I am just hanging out at home, there is a ton of freezing rain so we didn't end up going to Church today =/. Oh well, I just need to relax and enjoy my last days here.
Tommorw is my last real day here. I am already have 99% of my stuff packed and ready, I just need to put my Bible and Computer in their bag and I will be ready to go.
I will post an update once I get to Hawaii on Tuesday night.

Happy New Years And My Last day of Work!

So Tonight was my last shift of this year and for the next 6 months[at least]. It was somewhat of a sad Shift. I was thinking about how I wont be going back there in uniform for a long time. Also, something funny happened. I was on my way to work and I noticed I didn't have my work shirt on so I called my dad really fast and asked him to bring it to me. So on top of being 10 minutes late I didn't have my shirt. That was funny. Oh and we were going to get Jimmy Johns, but they closed at 3. WHY JIMMY JOHNS!!!! Why would you open for like 4 hours and then close, And on top of that, why would you even answer the phone?!?!?

So in my last post I mentioned that my sister got a Wii For Christmas. Well my Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins are all over to my house and they are bowling on Wii Sports. My Grandma is 75 years old, has never bowled a game in her life nor played a Video game in her life and her first game she scored a 173 or something around there...Crazy.

So I know my blog is somewhat plain, so I hope to spice it up with some pictures and a better layout soon. If you have any tips or advice, please let me know.

Explosions in my Head.

I am calling this post "Explosions in my Head" because yesterday I picked up a Explosions in the Sky CD. The Title is "The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place", and it is amazing. So much emotion and heart put into their music. I also Picked up Showbreads "Age of Reptiles" CD, and that is amazing as well.

So Christmas has come and gone. It didn't even feel like Christmas at all. I had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Total Bummer. But oh well, everyone had a good time. Everything I got was for My Trip. I got an awesome Digital Camera, some clothing, 2 Backpacks and a ton of money, among other misc. Items.
My Sister got a WII and the whole family has been enjoying it.

So Tonight I am going to the annual Mustard Plug Holiday Ska Show. Kinda pumped about it, but its not really a big deal anymore because its my 5th year going, but it should still be a good time.

Today is the 1 week mark for being here. Next week Monday is my last day home for 6 months. I will wake up next Tuesday, take a shower and eat, Hug my dogs goodbye. I will leave and go to the Airport and hug my mom, dad and sister goodbye and then I will get on an Airplane and embark on my Journey.

The Most Beautiful Dream

This morning I had probably the most beautiful dream I have ever had. In my dream I was in Monoa Valley on the Island of Oahu, where I will be staying for about 4 months. I know it wasent really what the valley looked like, but It was the Valley. Its weird how dreams works like that.
Anyways, in this dream I was being taken into the valley in a jeep. I could see EVERYTHING. I was surrounded by Lush, Green Jungle on everyside. When I got to the end of my trip there was a big pond area and people were swimming and picnicing around the edge of the pond. It really was an amazing dream. I think It was Gods way of assuring me that I am doing the right thing. The thing that is even more amazing about it is I will actually be going to the place in my dream, but it will be real!

I am so excited about this.

What is going on Blogger? Taking it easy, I know I am. Let me just tell you a little about myself, you know, all the cliche "Getting to know me" type of stuff.

Hi, my name is Jordan Theilman. I'm 18 years young and I live in Muskegon Michigan. Even though this is the worst place in the United States to get a job right now, I love it. I work at the Cinema Carousel and do every thing from Making Popcorn to selling tickets and cleaning up theaters. I have worked there for 2 as of December 7. I have an awesome girlfriend named Arika. We have been dating for a little over 8 months and we are really cool. I am really into music and going to shows. The list of bands I have seen is somewhere around 100 and growing. I am really into Ska and Punk music, but I am listen to alot of different generes as well.

So thats the about me rig-a-ma-role! I hope you enjoyed it. Now on to why I made this Blogger account.

In January I will be attending YWAM Honolulu for a 6 month DTS. For those who do not know what YWAM is, please, let me explain.
YWAM is short for Youth With a Mission. This organization was started back in the '60s by a man named Loren Cunningham and his wife Darlene. This is a Organization has been helping Young People [ Ages 18-35 roughly] to gain skills and knowledge, as well as use prior skills and knowledge to go out and spread the good word of the Lord. So that is the very brief history of YWAM. Anyways. I will be attending the January 2009 DTS, short for Disciple Training School, in Honolulu Hawaii.

This Blog will be a way for me to share with family and friends, and maybe even some of you Blogger users, what Is going on in my life during this awesome time. Please feel free to contact me if you feel the need.
